Some things I noticed on my 5am run this morning

• the sentinel at the house where I live surreptitiously letting a woman collect mangos from the yard to sell (she probably paid him something for them)
• lines of people with jugs waiting and hoping to get water (we are at the start of a short dry season so it is hard to come by)
• a revival meeting at a Pentecostal church (I didn’t see it, only heard it)
• a small alter made of found objects on the roof of a building (my guess is Bakongo)
• street lights--they have always been there but I never noticed them (they don’t work and nobody can remember when, if ever, they did work)
